Mike Hanley - Partner / Senior Event ProducerA talented web designer, talent buyer, and online music promoter, Mike moved to Austin in 2003 to work in its bustling music scene. With 3 years of booking and event management under his belt in Arizona, he carved his Texas niche by creating an online web portal and discussion group Texas Heads, similar to the one he created in Arizona. Shortly thereafter, he joined the non-profit music promotion group Austin Soundboard. With them, he helped create and execute several outdoor events in various locations around Austin. It was at one of these events where he met Jeff, and the seed was planted for future collaborations together. Mike joined the EPS team in 2005, at the Austin City Limits Music Festival and Old Settler's Music Festival. It didn't take long for Mike and Jeff to realize the potential they had in working together on their own projects; in 2006, they co-created and produced ATX Fest along with co-producing other music festivals (including the 4th Annual Keep Austin Weird Music Festival and Cricket Fest). Since that time Mike has been an integral part of EPS' growth and success. Mike's goal is to continue utilizing his backgrounds in web design and event management to help expand EPS both locally and nationwide. When not working, he tries to stay in shape so he can enjoy Austin's excellent Tex-Mex cuisine. |
